Focus Stacking test shot

Focus Stacking test shot

This is the result of some experimenting with a technique called focus stacking where you make multiple exposures of the same scene with the focus point at various distances from the camera. The multiple exposures are then merged in Photoshop so that the picture with the sharpest focus for each area of the photo is combined into the final photo. This little creek is only a couple hundred yards from my front door, and I walk by it all the time on my walks, yet I was pleasantly surprised how pretty the picture actually was.
