This is the gear I took (or wore) for the first 7 days of the trip. The 7th day we will spend the night at Big Sandy Lodge and get fresh clothes and a resupply of food. This hike starts at about 8000 feet and climbs quickly to above 11,000 feet and stays above 10,000 ft for most of the rest of the trip. I anticipated temps in the 60s during the day and as low as 15 overnight. The total weight of the pack at the start will be about 31 lbs, not counting the camera gear which is about 4 more lbs. About 9 lbs of that is food and 2 lbs is water.
